The cableknit sweater has clear and defined roots in vintage clothing. We kept pulling these cableknit sweaters out of our archive and continually said "wow, these are really good" enough times where we knew we had to make some ourselves. Inspired by older ivy sweaters, we worked with our new knitting parters in Peru to really knock these out of the park, and were able to come up with our own knitting pattern in the process.

So rather than sending our yarns halfway around the world to be knit elsewhere, we found it very important to really localize this whole program. Our Peruvian knitters work with local farms to source the wool from the Andean Highlands, so there's really not much traveling this wool endures before it becomes the final product.
